Cúrate Chef, Katie Button, Competes on America’s Culinary Cup
Our very own award-winning chef Katie Button, co-founder of Cúrate and La Bodega here in downtown Asheville, is stepping into the national spotlight as a contestant on America’s Culinary Cup, a new high-stakes culinary competition series hosted by Padma Lakshmi and judged by acclaimed chefs Michael Cimarusti and Wylie Dufresne.

This high-pressure show, which premiers March 4 on CBS and Paramount+, brings together top chefs from across the country to compete in challenges that test creativity, technique, and culinary skill, with one chef ultimately winning a historic $1 million prize.
Make sure to tune in! Cúrate is one of our absolute favorite Asheville restaurants, so make sure to include this in your vacation plans when you come stay. A word to the wise, this restaurant is extremely popular so you’ll want to make a reservation weeks in advance!

Huli Sue’s Featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives
As foodies ourselves and obviously big fans of Asheville’s food scene, we couldn’t be more excited to see Huli Sue’s BBQ & Grill get the national love it deserves on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. Watching Guy Fieri spotlight this Hawaiian-meets-Texas barbecue gem was a proud moment. From their bold island flavors to that unmistakable aloha spirit, Huli Sue’s has always been one of those places we love sending our guests when they ask for dinner recommendations.
If you’re staying with us and craving something fun, flavorful, and unapologetically unique, consider this your official nudge to grab some huli chicken, ribs, or Spam musubi and experience one of our favorite spots in town.
